Main Street Magic was held Saturday, December 15. Rain put a damper on a few of the day’s activities causing cancellations but the Christmas Spirit was still strong.
The day began with a vendor show featuring eighteen local vendors selling unique crafts, decor, clothing, and food. Sweet Treats with Tim Hamilton treated children to free popcorn and cotton candy as their families shopped.
Lisa’s Dance Studio dancers performed at later in the day. The young dancers were happy to show off their skills to a packed audience. Raymond’s Gymnastics put on a holiday showcase afterwards for another delighted audience. These kids and their teachers work hard all year around. We are grateful to have Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Raymond in our community!
Santa & Mrs. Clause and their elves welcomed area youth afterwards. Children excitedly answered a question from Santa to receive a $2 bill and a candy cane from his elves. Amy Berg (owner of The Antler Room) designed a gorgeous white, holiday backdrop for Santa and Lisa’s Dance Studio provided shelter from the rainy weather.
Jessica Basagic won the adult’s Ugly Sweater Contest with Marren Williams taking the kids first place division. The Pill Box Pharmacy was this year’s choice for Main Street Magic window decor. The downtown businesses were all decorated beautifully!
The day concluded with a group of Christmas Carolers braving the rain to perform for a Live Facebook Audience. Beautiful, classic hits sung by some of favorite local talent warmed many hearts. Santa and his Elves lit the Courthouse tree to end the day’s magic.
Merry Christmas, Pendleton County!
